IRCC releases immigration backlog data, reveals 1.8 million applications in the queue
IRCC has a backlog of 1.8m applications. They say this is due to COVID-19, and that they're working hard to reduce processing time and reduce the numbers.

Sean Frazer announced as Canadas new Immigration Minister
Sean Fraser has been named as Canada's new Minister of Immigration. A former lawyer from Nova Scotia, Fraser has replaced Marco Mendicino as a member of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's newly appointed cabinet.
